Grey Squirrel Management

We are committed to helping to protect the UK's recovering red squirrel population. Red squirrel are appearing all over Wales and the Marches after a number of successful reintroductions, but they still need our help.

Grey squirrels are not only destructive to forestry and agricultural operations, they carry the parapox virus which is deadly to red squirrels. They out compete red squirrels for food and territory as well as other animals and are particularly fond of eggs and chicks as a food source, further diminishing local ecosystems. Grey squirrels are known to ringbark trees which is damaging for both commercial and mixed woodlands. They damage cereal crops and are even known to chew through electrical wires.

We gladly take requests from customers to aid their management and we are accredited with LANTRA Grey Squirrel Management qualification to ensure we operate in a humane and compliant manner.
